Private Information
Includes, but is not limited to: personal email address. Secret Dare will NEVER post this information on the website, disclose it to other members, NOR WILL WE SELL, RENT OR PASS IT ON TO ANY 3RD PARTY ENTITIES. WE WILL NOT SEND YOU SPAM OR OTHER COMMERCIAL EMAILS.
Public Information
Secret Dare is a membership based community designed to provide a convenient means for members to connect and/or meet each other online. In order to do this, our members create their own unique profiles by providing certain personal information, which may or may not include: member specified username, gender, age, ethnic background, appearance, photos, religion, occupation, lifestyle information and preferences as well as general geographic location. This information is used by our matchmaking technology to allow visitors and members to search for potential matches. Much of this information is optional, and meant to be seen by members and is regarded as Public information. Public information cannot be used to identify a specific member by name, physical address, or personal email, etc.
You understand and agree that by posting a profile on the web or on our site, all info you include or make available in your profile is considered public information. YOUR PROFILE INFO IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS OF OUR SITE and we will not use your info for promotional purposes, nor use RSS or SEO techniques to feed your profile and info onto third party sites. WE DO NOT BUY OR PLACE ADS ON THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS TO TARGET YOU PERSONALLY, NOR DO WE HAVE THIRD-PARTY TRACKERS INSTALLED.
Aggregate Information
This is information we collect that is not personally identifiable, such as browser type and IP address. This information is gathered from all users to the site. IP addresses are logged for system administration purposes and to track a user's session.
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Secret Dare uses non-identifying cookies to provide easier access & site navigation once the user as logged in, and so the user doesn't have to log in more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies do not generate personal data or read or gather personal data from your machine, and are never tied to anything that could be used to identify you.
The Secret Dare website uses First Party cookies (freichat_user, phpsessid) to make sure that the website runs properly. These cookies allow you to remain logged on for a certain period of time, and make sure that the chat application works correctly. The Secret Dare website also uses First Party Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gat, _gid), in most cases these cookies are used to determine unique visitors to the website. The only Third Party cookie used by the Secret Dare website is the one used by Cloudflare (__cfduid). This cookie does not store any personally identifiable information, is there solely for security purposes, is strictly necessary for Cloudflare's security features and cannot be turned off. The Secret Dare website also makes use of HTML5 local storage, this is solely used to enable the functionality of the website, mostly to support the chat feature.
Secret Dare provides members options for modifying or removing their information from our database.
When an account is deleted, most of the user data is removed permanently (messages, photos, most of the profile). A small part of the user data is kept in the database for security reasons (including email address). After a period of two years these core data will also be removed permanently.
